Appropriate measures have been taken against those making illegal calls

As it is known, on September 27, 2021, commemorative events were held in the cities and regions of the republic as a sign of respect for the souls of our citizens who died during the Patriotic War. During the events, the memory of the sons of the Motherland was commemorated, and their graves were visited.

It was revealed that in some cases, some individuals purposefully used the ceremonies of remembrance of the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War, with the intention of propagating radical religious and ideological discrimination, made religious and racially hostile calls against different countries and disseminated videos from the venues as well as committed actions that harmed the interests of society and the state.

The above-mentioned persons were invited to the State Security Service and their illegal behavior was prevented. They were also notified that calls for incitement to hatred and enmity on the basis of religion, race or other affiliation caused liability in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

We firmly state that actions contrary to the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the legally protected interests and security interests of society and the state will be resolutely prevented in the future.
